Summer Sewing Progress

June 02, 2021 by Grace Lombardo in Stitch along

I’m stitching a little ahead for the #100daysummersewalong because I know I won’t be able to stitch everyday. I’m not sure if I’m getting any better at needleturn applique, but I feel more confident.

I’m using up my Uppercase Circular Logic fabric stash and adding a few odd pieces of scrap fabric from my general stash. The background fabrics are all remnants of various quilt backing fabrics that I knew (ha, ha) would come in handy someday. This is a excellent project for me to use up my fabrics. The only purchase I had to make thus far is another spool of black Sulky 12 wt. thread for the embroidery. This has made my husband and my pocketbook very happy.

It’s not too late to join in if you are looking for motivation to do some hand sewing this summer. https://sewfine.ca/blogs/news/sew-along-inspiration

Happy Stitching Everyone!
